    The team is scheduled to arrive at Mumbai Airport around 4:00 pm. and is anticipated to reach Wankhede Stadium by 5:00 pm, depending on the weather conditions. 

    Digital Desk: The Indian men’s cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma, will celebrate their T20 World Cup 2024 victory with an open bus parade in Mumbai on Thursday (July 4). Sources indicate that upon their return from Barbados, the team will first meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi before heading to Mumbai, where the BCCI has arranged the parade in the evening.

    As reported by national media, Team India, under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, will embark on an open-top bus parade starting from the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in Nariman Point to the renowned Wankhede Stadium.

    “A short open-top bus parade has been planned from NCPA, Nariman Point, to Wankhede Stadium, covering a distance of not more than 2 kilometers, followed by a prize distribution ceremony where the Rs 125 crore prize money will be awarded by BCCI secretary Jay Shah,” a source from BCCI stated, as quoted by Indian Express.

    The Indian team is expected to land at IGI airport in Delhi at 6:00 a.m. IST on Thursday (July 4) and will proceed to their hotel for some rest. Afterward, they will visit Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s office for a function organized in honor of the victorious side. Post the event, the players will return to the hotel briefly before departing for Mumbai.

    The team is scheduled to arrive at Mumbai Airport around 4:00 pm. and is anticipated to reach Wankhede Stadium by 5:00 pm, contingent upon weather conditions. The BCCI has scheduled a two-hour open bus parade, followed by a brief ceremony at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.

    India secured their T20 World Cup triumph by defeating South Africa by seven runs in the final held in Barbados on Saturday (June 29), ending an 11-year wait for an ICC trophy. In a thrilling contest, India relied on Virat Kohli’s 76-run innings to set a total of 176 runs, subsequently defending it by restricting South Africa to 169 for 8 in 20 overs.
