After being ruled out of the 2022 T20 World Cup, Jasprit Bumrah opens up about-his-injury
T20 World Cup 2022: Jasprit Bumrah finally opened out about his injuries and thanked his loved ones for their good wishes.

Digital Desk: After being ruled out of the T20 World Cup in 2022, Indian star pacer Jasprit Bumrah finally spoke out about his ailment and thanked his loved ones for their good wishes. Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the ICC Men's T20 World Championship on Monday due to a back stress fracture, according to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

After Ravindra Jadeja, who is recovering from knee surgery, he is the second senior Indian player to miss the T20 World Cup due to injury.

Bumrah, 28, had suffered a back injury earlier this month, ruling him out of the Asia Cup. He returned for India's three-match T20I series against Australia, which India won 2-1, and took two wickets.

Jasprit Bumrah took to Twitter and shared the post:

"I'm heartbroken that I won't be able to play in the T20 World Cup this time, but I'm grateful for the well-wishes, care, and support I've received from my loved ones," Bumrah said. While I heal, I'll be rooting for the team during their campaign in Australia."

On October 23, India will face archrival Pakistan in the first T20 World Cup 2022 match at Melbourne Cricket Stadium. The loss of Bumrah is a big setback for India's chances of improving on their performance last year. With 70 wickets in 60 matches at 20.22, he is India's third-highest wicket-taker in men's T20Is, and his talent and precision with the yorker, in particular, will be missed in the death overs.
