Jhulan Goswami's career ended in a fitting manner as India completed a
3-0 clean sweep to claim their first series victory in England in more than ten
years. Jhulan made the England batters work hard for runs early on and took two
wickets, including one in the final over of the game, to help India
successfully defend a target of 170 in the third ODI.

England players formed a guard of honour to ensure that she was treated with
respect. India captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who made her debut under Jhulan's
captaincy, was herself in tears before the match. Former India men's captain
and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President, Sourav Ganguly has
now joined in on the wave of tributes for Jhulan.

retirement from international cricket, "Ganguly made the statement for the
BCCI.”She always put her best foot forward while serving Indian cricket with
distinction and took great delight in representing her country. Her accomplishments
will continue to motivate current and aspiring cricketers. She was the captain
of India's bowling attack. Her impact on the game has been enormous. Although
her inspirational presence on the field will be missed, her accomplishments

As the most successful bowler in women's ODI
cricket history, Jhulan retires. She is the only woman to surpass the 200 and
250 wicket thresholds in the format, having taken 255 wickets in 204 ODIs. In
addition, she has 44 wickets in the 12 Test matches she has played in her
career, and 56 wickets in 68 T20Is. In January 2002, Jhulan made her ODI debut
    in Chennai against England.
