Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the Indian women's team, moved up one spot to 13th place in the ICC Women's Rankings, while Smriti Mandhana, her deputy, was ranked ninth.
Digital Desk: In the ICC Women's ODI rankings, which were released on Tuesday, Indian women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur moved up one spot to 13th, while her deputy Smriti Mandhana was ranked ninth.
In India's recent ODI series victory over Sri Lanka, which ended with a 3-0 victory for India, Harmanpreet amassed 119 runs at an average of 59.50 and claimed three wickets. Her outstanding overall performance earned her the title of Player of the Series. Mandhana also performed admirably against the Lankans, scoring 104 runs at an average of 52 in three games.
Shafali Verma, who rose three spots to 33rd in the rankings, Yastika Bhatia, who rose one spot to 45th, and bowling-all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar are the other Indian batters who have advanced (up eight places to 53rd).
Rajeshwari Gayakwad, one of the bowlers, moved up three spots to joint-ninth, while Meghna Singh moved up four spots to joint-43rd, and Vastrakar moved up two spots to joint-48th.
Jhulan Goswami, a seasoned Indian pacer who did not participate in the white-ball assignments against Sri Lanka, maintained her sixth place on the list of bowlers.
