    Digital Desk:  In the World Cups, music and football are closely intertwined, with famous singers performing every four years. 


    Ricky Martin did it in France in 1998, and Shakira did it in South Africa in 2010, however Dua Lipa and Rod Stewart have declined to perform at the 2022 World Cup. 


    The FIFA World Cup 2022 opening ceremony will be aired live on the Jio Cinema app and website.


    Jungkook, the singer of South Korea's popular band BTS, is among those scheduled to play at the opening ceremony. 


    Pop sensation Dua Lipa is one of the most well-known singers who has declined to participate in the World Cup. The singer has stated that she has never had to negotiate because her decision was decided from the beginning. 


    "I shall be rooting for England from afar, and I hope to visit Qatar after it has met all of the human rights commitments it made when it won the right to host the World Cup. Dua, I love you "Dua Lipa clarified.

    Meanwhile, Stewart claimed in an interview with The Sunday Times that he turned down a million dollar contract to play in Qatar due to moral concerns. 


    People close to Shakira informed EFE that she turned down the offer to appear "at the opening, closing, or any function" in support of the LGBTQ+ community and women's rights.


    Which performers will be travelling to attend Qatar world Cup 2022 ? 


    According to the website ILoveQatar, the Black Eyed Peas will perform on the first day, with Robbie Williams appearing on December 8. 


    During the tournament, J. Balvin, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Craig David, Major Lazer Soundsystem, Omar Montes, Maluma, Myriam Fares, Nicki Minaj, and Ozuna will all perform.
