Ego, if left unchecked, it can sabotage even the strongest bonds…
Digital Desk: The
International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Friday that Team India's two
best batsmen, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav, have been shortlisted for the
Player of the Tournament award at the current T20 World Cup 2022, along with
seven other players. Pakistan and England have advanced to the championship
match, which will be played on November 13 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground,
after a wild voyage. The selection for the Player of the Tournament includes
nine exceptional players who all impressed and contributed to their teams' victories.
In the running
for the championship are three players from England, two from Pakistan, one
each from Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, and three players from England.
In order for his
side to get to the semifinals, Virat Kohli was essential. In six games, he scored
296 runs at an astounding average of 98.66. He currently holds the lead in the
standings for runs scored in the competition. His runs also came at a good pace
of 136.40. Kohli recorded four half-centuries during the tournament, including
a remarkable 82* against Pakistan in India's victory against Pakistan in
Melbourne.
Suryakumar Yadav
played some of India's best at-bat innings during the competition with some of
the most crazy strokes you've ever seen.
In six games,
Yadav scored 239 runs while striking out a startling 189.68 percent of the
time. He also scored three half-centuries, one each against South Africa, the
Netherlands, and Zimbabwe.
Yadav's accomplishments in Australia not only cemented his
presence on the global stage but also propelled him to the top of the ICC Men's
T20I Player Rankings as the finest hitter in the world.
