WhatsApp users today were unable to send or receive messages using the Meta-owned network.

Digital Desk: WhatsApp is back online after an almost two-hour outage, and the app should be operational again in the next few minutes if it hasn't already. WhatsApp is now accessible via the Android and iOS apps, as well as WhatsApp Web.

After several hours of disruption that affected millions of individuals around the world, Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is back up and running, although with problems as partial restoration begins.

Users from all over the world flocked to Twitter to report the significant outage, which caused issues with sending, receiving, and calling using the app.

According to Down Detector, over 85% of customers experienced issues while texting, 11% while using the app, and 3% while using the website.

The affected cities in India include Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Lucknow, but users from the United States, Germany, South Africa, Bahrain, Bangladesh, and several other countries have also complained on the platform that the service is currently causing a disruption and is not functioning properly.

Users in India also had issues sharing photographs and videos. People flocked to Twitter to share their frustrations with Facebook family apps, using jokes and GIFs.
