Newly-Adopted Golden Retriever walks an insane 64-Km over 27 Days back to former owner

''Cooper is an intelligent boy,'' said a spokesman for Lost Paws NI. Instinct led him back to a familiar location. I'll never know how he did it, but he did. There was no food, no shelter, no support; just tenacity and that extraordinary nose.

mso-ansi-language:EN-IN">Digital Desk: ''There is no love like a dog's love,''
they say. A golden retriever escaped his new home and travelled 40 miles back
to his prior residence after his owners were forced to give him up.

mso-ansi-language:EN-IN">According to the Metro, Cooper the dog jumped out of
the car shortly after arriving at his new home in County Tyrone, Northern
Ireland. It then vanished for nearly a month, travelling an estimated 40 miles
(64 kilometres) back to its original owners in Tobermore, County Londonderry.

mso-ansi-language:EN-IN">Lost Paws NI, a missing dogs organisation, said they
received a tip on April 22 that the canine had been seen in a number of fields
and hanging around outside properties. Another caller reported spotting Cooper
heading towards his former house five days later. They claimed the dog travelled
alone through the forests and along main highways, often at night, with no
    assistance from humans.

tracked him back to a spot where we lost him again, but now we know he's almost
back in the area where he started before he was given to the dog pound."
Cooper travelled via main A-roads, woodlands, farms, and country roads for 27
days to return home from a place he had never seen before. We are overjoyed to
have been a part of his rescue and this narrative.''

mso-ansi-language:EN-IN">Cooper is now ''safe,'' said to new owner Nigel
Fleming, who is ''eating tiny meals to build up his muscle and gently put some
    weight back on.''

mso-ansi-language:EN-IN">''Even when he was missing, my trust in humanity was
restored because to the wonderful aid I was afforded, and today, with him here
by my side and with Molly, I don't really have the words to express how
grateful I am,'' Mr Fleming added.

mso-ansi-language:EN-IN">''Cooper is settling in nicely to his new home life
with his sister and is enjoying some home comforts,'' said a spokesman for Lost
Paws NI.   When we went to see him after
he was apprehended, he was curled up by the fire, content and loved.  I'd want to mention that his new owner,
Nigel, is one of the most dedicated people we've met.  Nigel never stopped fighting, never stopped
seeking guidance, and never stopped filling the food bowls whenever we moved.
This is a story of tenacity, loyalty, fighting for what you want in life, and
    never giving up.''
