Lucknow: At the time when the whole nation is affected by the deadly disease two men in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh were arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police for violating Covid guidelines while celebrating the results of the panchayat poll in the State.

Hapur police shared a post on Twitter in Hindi says, “Hapur Police arrested two people who violated Covid guidelines and Section 144 of the CrPC to distribute rasgullas among a gathering. 20 kg of rasgullas were seized from them.”

Due to the spike in covid-19 cases in India the Election Commission of India has asked all the States to refrain from celebrating after the results were declared.

Earlier, during panchayat poll campaigning last month, the Amroha police had seized 100 kgs of 'rasgullas' from the village panchayat candidate Sohanveer. He was preparing to distribute 100 kilograms of 'rasgullas' to his voters.
