Amazon to enter Television market by October: Report

Washington: E-commerce company Amazon is preparing to enter the Television market with its own branded TVs. It is likely to be launched in October.

The report says, the TVs would have Alexa, and the screen size will be in the range of 55-75 inches.

The TVs designed and manufactured by TCL will be initially launching in the US.

Reportedly, Amazon has been working on the TV for the past two years.

Amazon has joined hands with BestBuy in India to sell Toshiba and Insignia TVs powered by Amazon Fire TV software.

According to the report, the TVs will have features like the adaptive volume that will enable Alexa to respond louder when it recognizes a noise background. It will ensure that users can hear Alexa even with background noises, including music playing, people talking.

However, the adaptive volume will not reduce without background noise; one will have to reduce the volume by themselves.

It’s another step for amazon to build an Apple-like ecosystem with its offerings of Amazon Prime, Fire TV stick, Alexa, and its e-commerce platform.

With the launch of TVs, amazon will jump into completion with Samsung, Sony, LG, and others, which sell their products on the Amazon platform.

However, till now, amazon did not announce it officially.
