Digital Desk: A Class 10 student went missing in Guwahati’s Mathgharia area while on her way to attend tuition classes, just days before her High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination.


The missing student has been identified as Hamida Begum (18), a resident of Ahmed Nagar in Mathgharia and daughter of Hamid Ali. She is a student of Noonmati High School and had been preparing to appear for the ongoing matriculation examination.


As per report, on 8th February evening, her father dropped her off at a tuition centre .However, when she did not return home by late night, family members began searching for her at various locations but were unable to trace her whereabouts.


With no information about her whereabouts, the family lodged a complaint at Noonmati Police Station. However, police have not yet been able to locate the missing student.


The family has alleged that she may have been abducted by miscreants. Her sudden disappearance just a day before the matriculation examination has raised serious concerns and mystery in the area.
