Digital Desk: A horrific incident occurred at Satgaon in Guwahati, where a 55 year old, man attempted to rape a 14-year-old girl which she survived. The perpetrator attempted to rape the girl on 26th March in the evening but somehow she managed to escape from the clutches of the perpetrator.
The accused, identified as Arvind Barua, works as a driver at a government institution while residing as a tenant at a local resident's house. He allegedly tried to lure the victim into his room and attempted to rape her.
The girl's parents immediately reported the incident to the Satgaon police, after which they arrested the perpetrator on the night of 26th March. the Satgaon police officials have registered a case and began their investigation based on the complaint that the girl's family filed. The incident has sparked outrage in the area, with locals demanding strict action against the accused.
