Singh, who was also a security guard...

Digital Desk: Harshandeep Singh, who hails from India and is only 20 years old, was shot dead on Friday in Canada, currently known as Edmonton.  After a shootout around 12:30 a.m., he was later found unconscious in an apartment complex. He was unable to survive after being taken to a local hospital.

The Canadian police arrested two suspects, both of whom are 30 years of age. Evan Rain and Judith Saulteaux have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Reports are that the incident's CCTV footage has caught one of the assailants hurling Singh down the stairs and shooting him in the back. The police immediately started their investigation as soon as complaints of shooting around 107th Avenue were lodged. A three-person group was supposedly involved in the shooting, according to the authorities.

The shocking murder of an Indian community member in Canada has drawn concern about overseas students' security. Some still probe potential motives regarding the murder. Unfortunately, this tragedy emphasizes the need for sharper safeguards for the immigration populations and workers in Canada who are increasingly becoming victims of it.
