The detained immigrants are residents of Bangladesh and arrived at Silchar on a train on Wednesday, an official said.

Digital Desk: At least five immigrants from Bangladesh were apprehended in two different locations close to the Assam-Tripura border, reports said.

As per the reports, three Bangladeshi immigrants were detained on Thursday at the Churaibari checkpoint close to the Assam-Tripura border while two were detained at the Silchar railway station.

It is to be noted that the detained people have been identified as Fardin Islam, Shag Miya, Ashraful Islam, Khokan Fakir, and Mizanur Rahman.

The detained immigrants are residents of Bangladesh and arrived at Silchar on a train on Wednesday, an official said.

The official claimed that the accused were apprehended when they attempted to leave the country after failing to get their desired jobs. The police were able to identify them because of their unusual body language. According to officials, the accused entered India illegally a few months ago in search of work.
