Upon learning of the situation, the village head and other officials swiftly arrived at the school and organized transportation to a hospital. 

Digital Desk: Approximately 80 students from a district council school in Keket Jalgaon village, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, Maharashtra, were hospitalized after eating biscuits provided as part of a nutritional meal program, according to officials. The students began experiencing nausea and vomiting around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Upon learning of the situation, the village head and other officials swiftly arrived at the school and organized transportation to a hospital. The affected students were taken to a nearby hospital, where their condition was reported as stable.

Dr. Babasaheb Ghughe, a medical officer at the hospital, noted that 257 students reported symptoms of food poisoning after consuming the biscuits. Of these, 153 were admitted to the hospital for treatment, while some were treated and released. Seven students with severe symptoms were transferred to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Civil Hospital for further care.

The school has a total of 296 students. An investigation into the cause of the food poisoning is currently underway.
