Digital Desk: A distressing case of sexual violence has struck Salbari thus bringing the entire town into turmoil. A 14-year-old female minor was physically abused by her father Digam Barman who is a 40-year-old man who has four children. After the victim informed her relatives about the incident Barman received their confrontation.
The victim, now 3 months pregnant after being raped by her biological father and he was subsequently handed over to the Salbari police.
The villagers have shown their anger by demanding harsh punishment for the person responsible. The atrocious act has sparked alarms about the protection of children in this particular region. The incident demonstrates why it is critical to enhance monitoring operations while providing additional support to child abuse victims.
