Digital Desk : Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor opens up on his parents Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie's divorce when he was only 10 year old. On a podcast with Raj Shamani, Arjun recalls that his father fell in love with Sridevi and later married her. He shares on how he dealt with the situation as a child.
Talking about that phase of life, he said that he became very responsible and too aware. He matured early because he wanted to make sure that he didn't lose connection with his father. As long as his father was happy with what he had done, he was okay with it. Even if he wasn't okay with it, he rationalised it in his head at a young age.
The Ishaqzaade actor also revealed that they never had a normal father-son relationship because Boney Kapoor was busy making two big films Prem and Roop Ki Rani Choro Ka Raja. He further said that both of them had worked on their relationship and spent more time over the last five years.
He also said that despite his parents' separation his father's family was always there for him and his younger sister Anshula Kapoor.
Arjun Kapoor made his acting debut in 2012 with the film Ishaqzaade and it earned him the Zee Cine Award for Best Male Debut. His other films are Gunday, 2 States, Wanted, Tevar, Half Girlfriend, Ek Villain Returns among others. His latest film is Singham Again.
