Guwahati: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam has highlighted the significant strides made by the newly formed state government within its first month, underscoring a series of people-centric and historic decisions. According to a party statement, these initiatives reflect a strong resolve to steer Assam towards a path of progress and prosperity, laying a solid foundation for what it terms a 'New Assam'.
The party emphasised the government's core commitments to development, good governance, transparency, and public welfare. These principles, outlined in a recent press release, are reportedly guiding the administration's actions and policy formulations during its nascent stage.
A notable achievement cited by the BJP is the signing of a significant tripartite agreement last Friday. This accord, aimed at fostering regional cooperation and development, saw the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. Officials noted that this agreement aligns with a broader vision for peace and development across the Northeast region.
The ruling dispensation's focus on swift decision-making and tangible outcomes in its inaugural month is being presented as a clear indication of its dedication to public service and its long-term goals for the state's socio-economic upliftment.
