Digital Desk: In a bid to improve road connectivity and boost infrastructure in the state, a 4-lane Gauripur Bypass project on National Highway (NH) 31 worth Rs 206.88 crore has been announced. The project will increase links between major areas such as Dumardoha, Khudimari, Fulkumari, and Baladmara. It will ensure smoother and faster routes for both local and commercial traffic. It will also strengthen road infrastructure and Assam's desire to become a prime investment hub.

The bid for the project was completed on September 2, 2024. The project was later awarded to the lowest evaluated bidder for Rs 206,88,13,211. The project aims to ease traffic congestion, promote economic development, and enhance Assam's future as a major investment hub.

This project will set a milestone in the ongoing infrastructure development of the state, which will contribute to the nation's growth and development.
