Recently, Union DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, alongside Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, launched 'Mission SenehJori'. This ambitious Assam government programme aims to revitalise and transform the state’s renowned Muga sector.
Officials indicated that 'Mission SenehJori' is designed to bolster the entire value chain of Muga silk production, from cultivation to weaving and marketing. The initiative seeks to empower local artisans and ensure the sustainability of this unique heritage, which is crucial for the economic well-being of many communities across Assam.
