Saikia, who previously served as the joint secretary of the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) and currently holds the position of general secretary for the Dibrugarh District Sports Association, embarked on the tour with the national squad on Monday.
His tenure as team manager will extend until July 28, during which he will be responsible for overseeing all administrative and logistical aspects for the Indian contingent. The series, led by captain Shreyas Iyer, is being played at the Harare Sports Club, with matches scheduled for July 23, 25, and 26.
