Digital Desk: The Reservation Bachao Sangharsh Samiti has called for a Bharat Bandh on August 21, which is tomorrow, to protest the Supreme Court's decision on SC/ST reservations. SC/ST groups in Rajasthan have expressed their support for the bandh.
According to a report by The Times of India, the police have been directed to increase their presence across all districts to prevent any unrest. DGP UR Sahoo also mentioned that Superintendents of Police have been instructed to maintain law and order in relation to the Bharat Bandh. “We have advised our officials to hold meetings with the groups organizing the bandh and with market associations to ensure smooth cooperation,” DGP Sahoo told TOI.
