Following his comment, the Congress hit back on Friday and launched a sharp attack on CM Sarma. The Kerala unit of the Congress posted a question to CM Sarma on their X handle.

Digital Desk: The political war of words escalates in Assam, as Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma slammed Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi and claimed that his son and daughter "are not Indian citizens".

Following his comment, the Congress hit back on Friday and launched a sharp attack on CM Sarma. The Kerala unit of the Congress posted a question to CM Sarma on their X handle.

In a post on social media, the Congress asked CM Sarma whether he was talking about Dr S. Jaishankar, Piyush Goyal, Hardeep Singh Puri or Sudha Murthy's children.

The Kerala unit also urged him to be specific while making such big allegations against people of his own party.

The comments came after CM Sarma's cryptic post on his X account.

On April 27, CM Sarma posted a series of questions regarding Gaurav Gogoi's 15-day visit to Pakistan and his wife's alleged ISI links.

CM Sarma asked whether MP Gogoi had visited Pakistan for 15 days and also demanded clarification from him.

Gogoi responded to CM Sarma and asked if he would resign in case he could not prove all the allegations made against him and his wife.
