Farhan claimed that Rahul named the puppy 'Noori,' and that the name is regarded pure and holy...

Digital Desk: A Case has been filed at the Prayagraj district court, against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for giving a dog's name which is also used in the Muslim holy book, the Quran. AIMIM spokesperson Mohd Farhan is the one who through his attorney Amjad Ali, has filed the complaint.

Surprisingly, a FIR was also filed against Farhan for making disparaging remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi three months ago. Farhan's arrest has been postponed as of now.

According to Mohd Farhan's complaint, which he obtained from English and Hindi newspapers, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi gave his mother and party chief Sonia Gandhi a dog on October 4, World Animal Day.

Farhan claimed that Rahul named the puppy 'Noori,' and that the name is regarded pure and holy because it is associated with the Prophet Muhammad.

"Noori" appears several times in the Holy Quran. Because many mosques have the same name, using this name for a dog has offended Muslims," stated an AIMIM official.

On Tuesday, he claimed, the complaint was filed with the chief judicial magistrate.

Farhan's lawyer, Ali, stated that the chief judicial magistrate has set November 8 for the taking down of the complainant's statements. Rahul Gandhi, he alleged, also shared the pet photo on his Facebook and YouTube sites.
