Regarding post-marriage crimes, PM Modi highlighted specific amendments to the BNS aimed at addressing these issues, affirming the central government’s support in collaborating with state governments to combat crimes against women.

Digital Desk: In a firm response to growing concerns over crimes against women, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured on Sunday that offenders "will not be spared." Speaking at the Lakhpati Didi event in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, PM Modi addressed the recent national outrage over incidents such as the Kolkata doctor's rape and murder, the Badlapur school sex abuse case, and the Assam gang rape.

PM Modi emphasized the government's commitment to improving legal frameworks and enforcement, including updates to existing laws and the establishment of new systems to ensure justice is more accessible to victims. "Previously, there were complaints about FIRs not being filed. We introduced the BNS [Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita] and implemented numerous amendments,” he said. “If a woman prefers not to visit the police station, she can now file an e-FIR, which cannot be altered or tampered with."
