Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed grief over the loss of lives and property due to the earthquake in Nepal. 

Taking to X, PM Modi wrote, "Deeply saddened by the loss of lives and damage due to the earthquake in Nepal. India stands in solidarity with the people of Nepal and is ready to extend all possible assistance. Our thoughts are with the bereaved families and we wish the injured a quick recovery".



A powerful quake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale struck Nepal, which led to the death of more than 128 people and over 100 injured. The death toll is feared to rise more as search operation continues amid the rubble.
