Digital Desk: Warner  Bros delayed the Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part II by a year and it will release on October 1, 2027 instead of October 2, 2026. According to Deadline, it is expected to go into production by the end of summer 2026, the extensive VFX in the movie will be more convenient in a later release. Robert Pattinson is set continue portraying the leading role in the much-awaited movie sequel.

The film was first officially revealed at CinemaCon in April 2022 before Mattson Tomlin came on board in August of the same year as a co-writer with Reeves. The official title was later unveiled by the heads of DC Studios in January 2023, James Gunn and Peter Safran.

At the same time, Alejandro González Iñárritu and Tom Cruise did release a Legendary production for the competitive fall 2026 season, which will star Sandra Hüller, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wilde, and Riz Ahmed around an odyssey of a powerful man.
