Digital Desk: Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday challenged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to change the name of India. He claimed that the BJP government previously ran various national schemes under the name of India till last year, but after the formation of the opposition bloc INDIA, the government has been calling for changing the country's name.
Arvind Kejriwal said, addressing a rally in poll-bound Chhattisgarh, “Does India belong to your father? It belongs to 140 crore people. India lives in our hearts, Bharat lives in our hearts, Hindustan lives in our hearts.”

Arvind Kejriwal's remark comes amid speculations that the government may introduce a resolution during the forthcoming extraordinary session of Parliament to rename India "Bharat." The opposition parties have criticised the alleged plan to rename India.
On Saturday, the head of the AAP said that a coalition of 28 opposition groups in the country had formed and been given the name INDIA.
"The BJP government was so angry that they wanted to rename the country Bharat...Will the BJP alter the name of the country once more if the opposition alliance changes its name to Bharat tomorrow?," asked Arvind Kejriwal.
