Digital Desk: Twitter's website changed its logo to a Dogecoin for no apparent reason. Twitter CEO Elon Musk replaced the iconic blue bird with the "doge" image linked with the Dogecoin cryptocurrency. The Twitter mobile app, in particular, has not changed. According to sources, Dogecoin's value surged following the change, putting its price beyond $0.10 for the first time in months.

In just 30 minutes, the volatile coin's price jumped by more than 30%. Musk has already stated his support for dogecoin and is even involved in a court battle over it. 

According to reports, the Shiba Inu doge image is well-known as the logo of the Dogecoin blockchain and cryptocurrency, which was founded in 2013 as a joke to ridicule other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.

The photograph of the March 26, 2022 conversation between the anonymous account and Twitter's CEO, in which the latter requested that the bird logo be changed to "doge," was also provided by the company's CEO. Musk commented on the post on Twitter, "As promised." 


Following reports, Musk, who paid USD 44 billion for Twitter last autumn, is a well-known admirer of the Doge meme and promoted Dogecoin on Twitter and while presenting "Saturday Night Live" last year. On Monday, the value of Dogecoin rose by more than 20% as Twitter's web logo changed.
