Kamala Harris is on track to make history as the first-ever female President of the United States…

Digital Desk: The 2024 U.S. presidential election is around the corner, and the race is on between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Nonetheless, the current electorate forecasts suggest that this election is going to be closely fought and could well go down in history as such. For instance, AtlasIntel’s most recent poll conducted on November 1–2, shows that Trump has a slight lead, especially with the swing states. Trump is leading by about 1.8% globally and outscores Clinton in all seven swing states in question, and about 49% of the respondents expressed their approval of Trump. The survey included almost 2,500 likely voters across the fifty states of the U.S., where most of them were women.

The balance states where the difference between the two candidates tends to be very tiny but still retains their primal importance. Swing states are important states that can go either way, depending on the election, and thus become very much the focus of both parties. For instance, in the year 2020-voting Joe Biden clinched the state with a slight margin of about 10,000 votes. These states could once again
decide the final result on 5th November.

A very recent poll by Reuters conducted on October 29 tells a different story, as Harris stands only 1% ahead of Trump with 44% against 43%. Harris has been leading Trump in the Reuters/Ipsos polls since she joined the race in July, but the margin has been narrowing over the last few weeks since the end of September, indicating the contest is tightening.

While Trump aims at another attempt at the presidency after being impeached in 2020, Harris looks towards the future as the first female president of the United States. As the campaign days are numbered, the emphasis is still on the swing states, and the race is tight in the final showdown.
