  • The Amritsar Express caught fire on Wednesday

Digital Desk: A horrifying incident took place early Wednesday near Barpeta Sarbhog Station when a coach on the Amritsar Express (Train No. 15993), traveling from New Tinsukia Station to Amritsar, caught fire.


The fire broke out around 12:25 am, filling the coach and station with thick smoke.


The sudden fire triggered widespread panic among passengers.


Amid the chaos, several individuals sustained minor injuries while fleeing from the train.


Fortunately, the fire was extinguished, and all passengers were able to re-board the train to resume their journey.
