Modi turned over the gavel and offered best wishes to Brazil for the presidency...

Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday proposed a virtual session of the G20 around the end of November to review the recommendations and decisions made at the leaders' summit that concluded in Delhi on Sunday.

In his closing remarks during the final session of the two-day G20 summit in Delhi, Prime Minister Modi underlined that India's official G20 presidency would continue until November 30 and that over two-and-a-half months were left for its tenure as the head of the grouping.

PM Modi stated, "You have offered your opinions and thoughts over the past two days, and various additional plans have also been put forward. It is up to us to examine the proposals carefully and figure out how to move them along more quickly."

"I suggest that we virtually convene another G20 session at the end of November. We can go over the issues that have been resolved during this summit. The details will be shared with us all by our teams. I hope each and every one of you will join the session. I hereby declare the G20 summit," PM Modi added.

PM Modi used a Sanskrit shloka in his prayer for world peace and hope. Earlier, during the concluding session, Modi turned over the gavel and offered best wishes to Brazil for the presidency. On December 1 of this year, Brazil will officially assume the role of the elite grouping's president.
