On Wednesday, a group of attackers viciously attacked the 42-year-old man named Banjit Das and his daughter inside their Boragaon residence.
Digital Desk: The victim, who was receiving treatment following a severe attack at the Boragaon nearby in Guwahati, succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.
On Wednesday, a group of attackers viciously attacked the 42-year-old man named Banjit Das and his daughter inside their Boragaon residence.
According to accounts, Banajit was first admitted to Excel Care Hospital following the event. But late at night, he was moved to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). According to additional sources, he had brain surgery at the GMCH.
Following the procedure, he was admitted to the ICU. According to additional sources, he passed away at 10:10 am after suffering cardiac arrest at around 9:30 am.
GMCH Superintendent Dr. Abhijit Sarma stated that Banajit, the patient, had suffered severe injuries on his hand, head, and back of the neck. He continued to say that the injuries indicated the victim had been attacked from the back.
Reports further state that four people have been detained as suspects by the Garchuk Police, who are conducting the investigation. Three people have been taken into custody: two workers, a driver, and the deceased's brother. The police are questioning them right now.
It should be mentioned that the mother was allegedly not home when the incident occurred. According to sources, the dead Banajit Das's wife arrived in Guwahati on Wednesday night at about eleven pm.
