- Rajouri Terrorist Attack: On 9th June, a terrorist attacked in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, and killed nine people.
- Hathras Stampede: A large scale crush occurred at Bihar on 2nd July, when 143 devotees suffocated to death in a stampede during a religious procession in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh.
- Hottest Year on Record: 2024 became the hottest year in the world affected by climate change with the record temperatures in July and August.
- Narendra Modi's Third Term: India got Narendra Modi for the third consecutive term as the Indian PM along with the Bharatiya Janata Party’s win.
- BJP's Defeat in Ayodhya: The BJP had a loss in Ayodhya: the party secured only 240 of the 400 the party had targeted in the Lok Sabha elections.
- Former PM Manmohan Singh's Demise: India lost its former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on the 26th of December.
