Digital Desk: Indian Idol Season 12 winner Pawandeep Rajan was seriously injured in a major road accident that occurred in the early hours of Monday, May 5, 2025. The accident occurred at National Highway 9 when  the vehicles crashed near Gajraula police station’s CO office around  3:00 a.m. in Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh.

According to Gajraula police station, in-charge Akhilesh Pradhan said, Pawandeep vehicle, an MG Hector, rammed into  a parked Eicher Canter, which was located along the side of the road. The preliminary investigation of the case has revealed that the driver may have dozed off leading to losing control and resulting in the crash.

Three people, including Pawandeep sustained major injuries when the accident occurred. Initially, police rushed the injured to a nearby private hospital for first aid.  Because of his serious health condition, Pawandeep was later referred to a specialized private hospital in Noida. He was accompanied there by his family members. 

 Pawandeep was travelling from Uttarakhand's Champawat to Delhi for a scheduled performance when the accident took place. A viral video has been circulating showing   Pawandeep receiving medical help, which triggered a national wave of compassion toward him from his fans.

As of now, police are continuing their investigation into the scenario behind the crash while each of the passengers' conditions is being closely monitored. Official information about Pawandeep’s health condition remains unavailable to the general public.
