The final of the cash-rich tournament is expected to take place on either May 30 or June 1.

Digital Desk: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will resume from May 16, a top BCCI official said.

The final of the cash-rich tournament is expected to take place on either May 30 or June 1.

The last match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was abandoned midway in Dharamshala due to the military tensions between India and Pakistan.

The BCCI source said that the remaining matches will be played at most likely three venues, including Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

The tournament will resume with the Lucknow Super Giants vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru match on May 16.

Amid escalating tensions and military actions in border areas of India and Pakistan, the BCCI postponed the IPL for a week.

As per sources, Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator will be held in Hyderabad. Kolkata will host Qualifier 2 and the Final on either May 30 or June 1.

The source also informed that in case of unpleasant weather, the final might be shifted out of Kolkata and will be held in Ahmedabad.

The reschedule of the tournament will be announced by the BCCI soon.
