Digital Desk: Air India continues to extend the suspension of its scheduled flights to and from Tel Aviv until October 18, owing to the ongoing war between Israel and the Palestinian organisation Hamas.

The full-service carrier, which normally flies five weekly scheduled flights to Tel Aviv, had already suspended operations until October 14.

In accordance with an airline spokesperson's statement, scheduled flights to and from Tel Aviv have been stopped until October 18.

According to the official, the carrier will operate chartered flights to bring back Indians based on their needs.

In general, Air India runs five weekly flights from New Delhi to Tel Aviv. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday are the days that the service is available.

The airline has flown two flights as part of the government's Operation Ajay, which aims to return Indians from Israel.

Amid Hamas militants' unprecedented attacks on Israeli communities, Israel has launched a huge counter-offensive.
