Digital Desk: In the Boramara region under the jurisdiction of the Jaluguti Police Outpost in Morigaon district, a prolonged period of theft and drug-related disturbances has finally come to a dramatic end.


Frustrated by the ongoing menace, residents united to apprehend three drug-addicted thieves along with a notorious drug dealer, Meraj Ali, who was widely known for harbouring criminals. The suspects were promptly handed over to the police.


Reports indicate that the areas of Jaluguti, Boramara, and the nearby regions have long suffered from a series of thefts, including stolen cattle, betel nuts from gardens, paddy from fields, as well as motorcycles and e-rickshaws.


The locals suspected three drug-addicted youths to be involved in these crimes.

Acting decisively, with the support of the Jaluguti police, the locals successfully detained Meraj Ali, along with the three suspects, identified as Mushtaq Ali, Janti, and Ramzan Ali.
