More than 3.748 million devotees on Wednesday at 8 am took a holy dip at Prayagraj.


Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Prayagraj to offer prayers at Triveni Sangam of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday morning. He also took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam wearing a bright saffron-coloured jacket and trackpant. After reaching Prayagraj, PM Modi took a boat ride with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.


More than 3.748 million devotees on Wednesday at 8 am took a holy dip at Prayagraj. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam on Wednesday morning and urged everyone not to do politics on the historic event.  


According to the Uttar Pradesh government, more than 382 million people took the holy dip as of February 4. Earlier on Tuesday, Bhutan king Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuk arrived at Maha Kumbh Mela after PM Modi sent him a special invitation. He attended a dinner party hosted by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and was received by Yogi Adityanath at the Lucknow airport on Tuesday morning.


In December last year, PM Modi visited Prayagraj to inaugurate 167 development projects worth Rs. 5,500 crore.
