"People of Manipur are upset with PM Modi. Modi hasn't visited the state yet."...

Digital Desk: The former  Governor of Manipur Anusuiya Uikey, on Sunday, reacts to violence erupted in Manipur since 2023. Uikey said, "People of Manipur are upset with PM Modi. Modi hasn't visited the state yet."

The escalated crisis in Manipur has intensified the situation in the state so severely that it seeks the immediate attention of the central government. The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi's negligence to the state is indicated as the PM hasn't visited the state yet.

This resurgence of violence comes after a brief lull following intense clashes that began in May 2023. The district experienced a temporary pause in hostilities, but tensions have flared once again.  Earlier, on Saturday, violence erupted once again in Manipur's Jiribam district, resulting in the deaths of five individuals. The disturbance marks a grim resurgence of ethnic conflict that has plagued the region since May 2023.
