The airport's front area has increased from 200 square meters to 1000 square meters.

Digital Desk: Today, Himanta Biswa Sarma the Chief Minister ceremoniously inaugurated the renovated terminal at Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati. Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport's makeover created an elegant multi-functional space that promises an enjoyable experience to everyone using the terminal.

A new entrance and exit route expanded at the terminal while modern design elements were introduced to generate an attractive terminal space. The front area of the airport now occupies 1000 square meters rather than its previous 200 square meters leading to expanded space and streamlined passenger flow. The terminal now has increased entry and exit gates from 8 to a total of 14.

A total of four dry entry paths exist specifically for Digi Locker service users. This enhancement will establish a welcoming gate experience particularly for the  “Advantage Assam” event attendees while creating a favorable experience for everyone.
