The Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is projected to secure a comfortable victory in the Assam Assembly elections, according to an exit poll conducted by Axis My India. The survey forecasts a sweeping mandate for the ruling coalition led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The NDA is likely to win between 88 and 100 seats in the 126-member Assembly, placing it well above the majority mark and paving the way for a third consecutive term for the BJP in the state. In contrast, the Indian National Congress is projected to secure between 24 and 36 seats, indicating a distant second position in the electoral contest.
