Sharad Pawar, the head of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and his nephew Ajit Pawar will speak at the event together for the first time since the NCP split.


Digital Desk: On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared the stage with chief guest Sharad Pawar at the Lokmanya Tilak National Award ceremony in Pune. During his visit, the prime minister will also lay the foundation stone for several development projects.

Sharad Pawar, the head of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and his nephew Ajit Pawar will speak at the event together for the first time since the NCP split.

According to the Trust, the award, which comes with a souvenir and citation, is being given to the prime minister in appreciation for his excellent leadership and his initiatives to instill a sense of patriotism among residents.

The award event will also be attended by Congress leader Sushilkumar Shinde, Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, and others.
