Digital Desk : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday arrived in Kuwait for a 2-day visit. His visit will strengthen the India-Kuwait friendship across various sectors. He thanked the Gulf country and expressed his gratitude for a warm welcome. After his arrival, Indian community received him with greetings and cultural performances.

PM Modi also met Abdulla Al Baroun and Abdul Lateef Al Nesef, who published and translated Ramayana and Mahabharata in Arabic. PM Modi met 101 year old ex IFS officer Mangal Sain Handa following a request on X  by Handa's granddaughter Shreya Juneja.


PM Modi will address the Indian community at an event 'Hala Modi' in Shaikh Saad Al Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex today. PM Modi's Kuwait visit, the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 43 years was on the invitation by Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The prime minister will also grace the opening ceremony of the Gulf Cup football tournament. Before PM Modi, the last prime minister to visit Kuwait was Indira Gandhi in 1981.


PM Modi has visited several West Asian countries since he took charge of his position as prime minister. He had travelled to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Israel, Bahrain among others.
