Digital Desk: Gujarat's Ahmedabad city will host the official opening of the iconic "Atal Bridge" over the Sabarmati river on Saturday.

On Saturday, PM Modi will begin a two-day trip to Gujarat. A state government announcement stated that on the first day of his visit, PM Modi will speak to a crowd at the "Khadi Utsav" event, which will be held on the Sabarmati Riverfront in the evening.

The foot-over bridge, which was erected by the Amdavad Municipal Corporation and is named after the late prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, will also be dedicated at the same location, according to the announcement.

Meanwhile, a day before the inauguration, PM Modi took to Twitter to share a few photos and wrote,"Doesn’t the Atal Bridge look spectacular!"

"An exemplary landmark of the Sabarmati Riverfront!" he said in another tweet while sharing a video of the bridge.
