New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi turns 71 today. President Ram Nath Kovind, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other dignitaries and politicians greeted him on the special occasion.
While Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has drawn plans to make it historic, the party aims to create a record of maximum covid-19 vaccine immunization; it will also embark on the ‘Seva and Samarpan’ campaign.
Wishing PM Modi a long life and good health, the President wrote in his Twitter handle, “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi on his birthday. I wish you good health and long life and continue to serve the nation with your well-known spirit of ‘Aharnish Sevamahe.”
Meanwhile, wishing PM Modi, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote in his Twitter handle, “Assam is forever blessed with your generosity & love. Your visionary leadership has given a new impetus to peace & prosperity in Assam, and the North East. On your birthday Adarniya Pradhan Mantri Sri@narendramodi, I wish you good health & many more years of service to nation.”
PM Modi is into the third year of his second consecutive term as Prime Minister.
PM Modi was sworn in for his second term in May 2019 after serving as the Prime Minister of India from 2014 to 2019. He is the first Prime Minister to be born after Independence.
