Digital Desk: On Monday, around 100 people with disabilities (PwDs) protested in front of the Janata Bhawan here, calling for the rapid release of the Gauhati University's recruitment examination results for Grade-IV reserved positions.

The positions were made public in December 2018, and Gauhati University held the test in 2021.

This year's merit list was released in April, however, there were many concerns about irregularities.

The recruitment procedure has not advanced to this point, according to Nripen Malakar, secretary of the Pratibandhi Suraksha Sanstha, Assam.

The protesters have been reassured by Assam's Director of Social Justice and Empowerment, Kishore Thakuria, that the recruitment exam's final results will be released in December of this year.
