Digital Desk: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, often referred to as India's most eligible bachelor, has finally shared his plans for getting married. The Congress leader, who is on a nationwide Yatra (march), said he is ready to marry "when the right girl comes along."

Rahul Gandhi shared a "checklist" for the girl of his dream in an interview with Lifestyle journalist Kamiya Jani. Rahul Gandhi asserts that the person must have at least two qualities—"a loving person and an intelligent one!"

"Are you planning to marry soon? No marriage on the cards?" the journalist asks Rahul Gandhi.

To this, Rahul replied, "I'll get married when the right girl comes along."

When asked if he had a "checklist," Rahul Gandhi replied, "No, just a kind, intelligent person."

Further, as Kamya Jani teased Waynad MP about "girls out there getting the message," he answered, "OK, you'll get me in trouble now."

In an earlier interview, Rahul Gandhi stated that he would prefer his partner to have the qualities of his mother, Sonia Gandhi, and his grandmother, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

"I'd rather date a woman. I don't mind; she has qualities. However, a combination of my mother's and grandmother's qualities is desirable," he had said.
