Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha administered the oath of office and secrecy. 

Digital Desk: On Wednesday, Ramen Deka was sworn in as the 10th Governor of Chhattisgarh during a ceremony at Raj Bhavan. Deka, who previously served as a Lok Sabha member from Assam and as the BJP's national secretary, succeeds Biswabhusan Harichandan, who held the position since February 2023.

Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha administered the oath of office and secrecy. The event was attended by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Assembly Speaker Raman Singh, state ministers, former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, and senior bureaucrats.

At 70, Deka brings extensive experience to the role. He was elected to Parliament in 2009 and 2014 and served as president of the BJP’s Assam unit. Deka is also recognized as one of the founding members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Upon his arrival in Raipur on Tuesday, Deka emphasized his commitment to prioritizing the development of Chhattisgarh.
