Ranoj Pegu must take responsibility and resign

Digital Desk: Higher Secondary First-Year examination paper leak caused strong criticism  from both Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) along Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti (SMSS). The first examination of this season undertaken by the Assam State Examination Board has proven to be a failure.

The Assam State Examination Board together with Education Minister Ranoj Pegu failed grievously because of this examination paper breach. Investigation of the events needs full completion as soon as possible. Multiple occurrences of this type of incident are causing concern so why do these events continue to occur ? The failure needs someone to take responsibility thus  it is by demanded by everyone that the  Education Minister Ranoj Pegu to step down immediately.

Students experience major psychological distress when question paper leaks occur. Multiple incidents of question-paper leaks occur yet no proper investigation begins and when investigations happen they fail to achieve effective results.

The police filed FIRs against 15 private schools together with three government-operated institutions for their involvement in this paper leak process. However, merely filing cases is not enough—the guilty must be punished appropriately.

Education Minister Ranoj Pegu needs to show responsibility by stepping down from his position. Additionally, he  bears accountable  for private school among the total 15 participating schools. Students deserve better treatment than mockery which threatens their educational prospects.

Ranoj Pegu and Himanta Biswa Sarma have continuously worked systematically destroyed  the educational system of Assam. Educational conditions in Assam find themselves at the border of complete breakdown.
